Helping Fight Modern Slavery

November 1st, 2010
Call + Response has done a phenomenal job raising awareness of the atrocity that is modern day slavery. Through their award winning documentary and visionary leadership in online activism many people have become educated and engaged in the fight. If you've not yet heard of the organization we recommend watching the preview.

After screening the film around the world C+R  focused on putting the movie into the hands of influences. Justin understands it's these passionate individuals who will champion the movie's message in their communities, companies, churches and schools. All they need are the resources... and that's where we came in.

The sites we launched for C+R rank among the most fun, rewarding and challenging projects we've ever embarked on. In total we developed three web properties including; CallandResponse.com, SlaveFree.com and ChainstoreReaction.com.

Each website presented unique challenges to both our designers and developers. Fortunately we were positioned to help C+R through the entire process from helping shape vision, through UX and UI design, to the development of custom CMS's and iPhone integration.

Cupcake Cannon

April 28th, 2010

Fresh out of the oven from the boys in Stumptown.

The Johnny Cupcakes Suitcase Tour stop at Kamp Grizzly was epic. Johnny brought a great crowd, his limited edition tour gear and the inspiration for Kamp's Cupcake Cannon. Portland's Kamp Grizzly developed a steam-punk style pneumatic cupcake cannon and set the stage for eating frosty delights at 120psi. The blasting buffet was documented in at 700fps coming off the Phantom HD Gold. As the evening shook down, cupcake enthusiasts continued to step in front of the cannon and camera. Some shaking in their boots, others perched in zen-like states, ALL were covered in delicious frosting, spongy cake, and showered in a mist of sprinkles.

On-Line Guest Reservation System

February 27th, 2010

Elan Guest Suites

After completing a refresh of the Elan Guest Suites web site, our team rolled up their sleeves and dug into a complete database driven backend reservation system. What evolved was an amazing effort that combined on-line reservations, e-commerce and a calendar driven admin system that literally runs all facets of guest transactions. We even added some nice marketing touches for future guest visits. If you haven't stayed at Elan, we couldn't recommend it higher. Be prepared to be pampered and dazzled.

Congratulations Mieke

July 24th, 2009
Congratulations to Mieke Ryneal, a good friend of Snapshot. She was recently chosen as an Award of Excellence recipient by VSA Arts for her submission of 4 paintings to their national contest. Mieke is an artist at Studio Sfumato in Medford and is one of only 15 artists selected nationally for this prestigious award. She will be traveling back to DC in September to receive her award and a $2000 prize in front of Congressmen and Senators at the Rayburn Office Building. Her work will then be displayed at the Smithsonian and the Kennedy Center before it commences a two year tour to college and university museums across the country.

Mieke is an extraordinary artist and a wonderful young woman. If you haven't seen any of her work, come by the shop and check out her piece Blue Guitar in our conference room. Or you could go to the Smithsonian.  Nice work Mieke. We love you.
